Bonus Tips

These Bonus Tips will help you fine tune your Jello-Shot making ability.  Use them wisely, and they will be good to you.

Bonus Tip #1:  If you chill or freeze your alcohol overnight before using, it will help the gelatin to set!

Bonus Tip #2:  For firmer, more jiggly jello shots, just double up on the amount of gelatin called for in the instructions.

Bonus Tip #3:  To help your jello shots slide out of their containers more easily, try spraying it lightly with a nonstick cooking spray.

Bonus Tip #4:  For a short cut, you can throw your gelatin mixture into the freezer for 10 minutes before putting it in the fridge for the rest of the time.  If you leave the jello in the freezer for too long, though, it will become tough and rubbery.

Bonus Tip #5:  To save time, effort, and mess, try using a turkey baster to fill up your shot cups with.  Then you won’t have to lift the large bowl in one hand and try to guide the gelatin into the cups without it running down the side and onto the tray.

There’s Tom again from Bachelorette.com with that crazy turkey baster.  Look at him go!  He’s unstoppable!!  He’s making pudding shots, and they turned out really tasty.  Check out the Pudding Shot Recipes section.
